Style: I don't consider myself to be what's typically thought of as a fantasy or horror artist. It's just that these genres happen to be flexible enough to sometimes include the type of work I do. I find myself attracted to the traditional/representative style - although the downside of realism is that the work can tend to be predictable, formulaic, and ultimately boring. I also find myself drawn to avant-garde, abstract, expressionistic styles - it's just that they can end up being presumptuous, obscure, removed and ultimately beyond any appreciable or meaningful value. My oblique sort of style is an ongoing attempt to synthesize what I like most in the variety of art that's out there.
